At Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union, we strive to give back to the state and community who have supported us for over 70 years. As a member, one of the valuable programs you support is the Maine Credit Union League’s Campaign for Ending Hunger, dedicated to fighting hunger and preventing food insecurity in our local Maine communities. Throughout the year, we host sweepstakes, donation opportunities and events that help support this critical cause.
One of our summer fundraising initiatives is a community yard sale held at the Newport branch on August 11, 2024 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. with all proceeds going towards the End Hunger campaign. We’d love your help – whether through a donation of items, or presence at the event.
Community members are encouraged to make donations of lightly used goods to be sold during the event, or if you have a lot to donate, you can reserve your own space to set up and sell items. To get involved or reserve a space, contact Mindy Nyman at 207-487-5576 or mnyman@svfcume.com.
