At Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union (FCU), we believe our employees are the foundation of everything we do. Their dedication to members and the community is what makes the credit union not only a trusted financial partner, but also a wonderful place to work and grow.

This summer, we proudly celebrated five of our team members whose combined service totals an incredible 85 years. The annual Employee Recognition Dinner, held on July 23 at Mainely Brews in Waterville, was a time to honor their commitment, highlight their accomplishments, and thank them for helping to create a workplace culture built on service and respect.

This year’s honorees included:

  • Sandy Braley, member service specialist, Pittsfield Branch — 30 years
  • Mindy Nyman, Assistant Vice President of Member Services, Pittsfield and Newport branches — 25 years
  • Shannon Young, lead receptionist, Pittsfield call center — 15 years
  • Abby Leavitt, loan officer, Pittsfield branch — 10 years
  • Erica Allen, frontline and IRA manager, Pittsfield branch — 5 years

Their many years of service reflect their personal dedication and the supportive environment that makes Sebasticook Valley FCU a place where employees choose to build lasting careers.

We value teamwork, professional growth and community connection. And, we have fun while pursuing those values! Whether organizing a paintball tournament benefitting the Maine Credit Union League’s Campaign for Ending Hunger, or hosting a Financial Fitness Fair at a local high school, our employees are experts at combining fun with community impact. As the foundation of our credit union, we welcome employees’ ideas for future endeavors!

Thank you to our employees for their service that allowed them to reach these notable milestones.
